Legal Fellow
Cecil McIntyre (they/them) is a JD candidate excited to graduate from Georgia State College of Law in May 2026. They have degrees in Political Science and Journalism from the University of Georgia. In Atlanta, they prioritized advocacy and public interest by interning with CARE, a global nonprofit whose mission aims to eliminate poverty by centering women and girls, and Water.org, another global nonprofit focused on safe water and sanitation.
As a Legal Intern and Fellow, Cecil assists SLCY in providing direct client services and putting on clinics such as the successful name change clinic through the Gender-Affirming Legal Care for Youth program.
After graduation and taking the Georgia Bar in July 2026, Cecil looks forward to a legal career that centers the access to justice for marginalized groups. Their corporate compliance research for nonprofit entities and operational and policy work prepares them to support SLCY's mission.
