Rep. Sam Park is the Whip of the Georgia House Democratic Caucus and has served in the Georgia General Assembly for the past ten years.  He was first elected in 2016 by unseating a three-term Republican incumbent, becoming the first Asian American Democrat and first openly gay man elected to the Georgia State Legislature. A Korean American son of immigrants representing Gwinnett County, Sam also serves as General Counsel for Positive Impact Health Centers, the largest nonprofit HIV/AIDS service organization in Georgia.
