Milo is a young person with lived experience who has been serving in the youth homelessness prevention field for over seven years. In February 2019, he co-founded the Washington State Youth for Youth (Y4Y) Board which is now the official advisory body of the Washington State Office of Homeless Youth, in which he still serves as a lead. Milo has direct service experience having worked for nearly four years at the same drop in center he previously received services at.
In February 2020, he earned a spot on Point Source Youth's National Youth Action Council where he supported nationwide advocacy focusing on trans and rural youth. He began working for that same organization full-time from 2023 to summer 2025 supporting and leading communities in Direct Cash Transfer initiatives and later becoming a HUD certified technical assistance provider supporting youth collaboration TA including YHSI and YHDP. Alongside his work at SLCY, he has been supporting communities independently with technical assistance via his consulting business, Lilac Liberatory Consulting.
Milo received a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies
from Washington State University in December 2023. He has been a reoccurring guest lecturer at his alma mater in their Psychology of Gender class since 2021 where he gives a lecture on trans history, psychology, and lived experience. Milo leads his work through the lenses of lived experience, intersectionality, and anti-racism. He works to create more sustainable youth-led spaces within the movement, and is fueled by that mission. Outside of his work, Milo is a crafter and a creative with a love for collecting dolls, trinkets, and whatever little things he finds that spark joy.
